Energy Healing is both ancient art and modern science.
It works on the principle that each human being has many aspects (typically described as physical, emotional, mental and spiritual) which continually interact and affect each other. All these aspects function together as an energy-consciousness system.
Many diseases and illnesses which afflict the physical body have their origins deep within the
energy-consciousness system. We may be completely unaware of these origins, or may suppress or distort them to avoid feeling pain. Distortions or blocks in the energetic system can arise from experiences of stress, fear or trauma, often in childhood. They can persist into adult life, where they constrict our natural energy flow, often without our awareness. It seems ‘the body remembers’ even when the mind resolves to forget. Energy healing sessions clear and charge the human energetic system, dissolve energetic blocks that lead to disease, and enhance the body’s natural healing ability. It can be used on its own or in conjunction with other healing modalities. Energy healing can also be done long distance, so you can have a session completed while in the comfort of your own home.
Energy Healing can be of benefit for:
- Recovery from trauma, injury, surgery, chemotherapy or radiation;
- Anxiety, depression, anger, excessive fear, other mood disorders;
- Persistent fatigue, weakness, chronic pain, lack of vitality;
- Stress, inability to cope, disturbed sleep, feeling overwhelmed;
- Skin problems, allergic reactions to harmless substances, asthma;
- A sense of being stuck, disconnected from life, lack of fulfillment;
- Difficulties in forming or maintaining relationships with others.
Energy healing is deeply buried in antiquity. Over 5,000 years ago, Indian mystics spoke of the
universal source of all life, which they called prana.
3,000 years ago the Chinese people were referring to this energy as Qi or Ch’i, and seeking to regulate and
balance its flow in the body through martial arts and acupuncture. There are references made to the human energy field (HEF) or the aura in 97 different cultures, according to John White in his book Future Science.
In our own Christianity-influenced culture, Jesus is also quoted as referring to a mysterious life
energy, using the Greek word pneuma – which can be translated as either spirit or wind:
“The wind blows where it wants to. You hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it is going. That’s the way it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3: 8
Perhaps our culture has overlooked something which would have been considered very ordinary in other cultures throughout history?
I have trouble with the word “disease”. This word has many connotations. I would invite you to consider that maybe you have a dis “ease” within the body that can be either physical or emotional. We have come up with many terms that we have taken in on many levels that deter our healing process. I am a “Migrane” sufferer, I am a “Diabetic”, I am an “Alcoholic”, you get the picture. When we invoke these energies, these words into our system, into our cells, we begin to manifest them and create more barriers to healing. I invite you to consider yourself free of any “disease”. Start to hold that you currently have a dis “ease” within, and work toward creating more ease within your physical, emotional and spiritual bodies. —Regina
